Too Much Snow to Ride Yet!

It's not time yet! We've had lots of inquiries about when we are going to start horseback riding this season, but as of right now, there's still too much snow! This picture was just taken last week, and as you can see, there is still almost 4 feet of snow in some areas. We will keep you updated on the progress of the "big melt". As for now, even though we can't ride yet, we will call all this snow a blessing, for truly it is!

Congratulations to Tanner and Maddi!

Wow, look at this cute couple.  Tanner has been a guide at the Eagle Ridge Ranch for several years.  Last fall he and Madi were engaged, and they tied the knot January 8th!  Hopefully, we can get some wedding pictures posted soon of the new couple.  In the meantime, enjoy their engagement pics.

Moose in Island Park

 

Check out these moose that were seen last week in Island Park!  In just a few months the cows will have their calves, and it is always fun to see them.

Winter Wonderland!

Have you ever wondered what the Eagle Ridge Ranch looks like in the winter? This will give you a pretty good idea! This is the ice house that sits just below the lake (which you can't see in the picture, but its just up the little gully). In the winter, ice would be cut from the lake and packed into the ice house. Straw would then cover the ice to keep it insulated and cool. This served as refrigration in the warmer summer months.
