Come for the Horesback Ride, Stay for the Day

The rope swing has been a favorite among everyone this week.  You don't have to be young to try this one out!

Canoes, paddleboats, rowboats and fishing poles are all provided at the ranch.

Guests are welcome to try on chaps and hats at the ranch.  It makes for some fun and exciting pictures to be all jazzed up in Western attire.
This was this guests first time horseback riding!  Though a little nervous initially, I think she really had a great time today.

Riders of all ages are welcome; our horses are amazing!

Try the water trampoline. Jumping into the water is a great way to get cooled down.

If you want to cross water on your ride, just ask your guide.  He or she will be happy to oblige.

Catching frogs and toads.  There are thousands of them.

Tom playing his accordion as guests sing along after a western cowboy cookout.

The wildflowers are in full bloom.

Oops, this young rider forgot to wear pants, but that's ok.

Our team that pulls wagons, June and Trixie, are also broke to ride.  They are beautiful mares.

Dylan takes his horseback riding guests through deep water.  Most of them had to lift there feet to keep from getting wet.

Watch out kids, Dylan just might through you overboard!

Well, that may have been a little bit of a picture overload, but I just wanted to show you all the happening at the ranch these days.  Come join us and be part of all the fun!

Remote Spring in the Mountains

It's no wonder why Porter is one of the favorite guides amongst our guests!  Take a look at this beautiful, pristine mountain spring where he took Kevin and Kendra Merrill horseback riding on their morning mountain half-day trip this past week.  All of our horse rides are fantastic, but the morning half-day trips are truly unique.
Thank you Porter for taking such great pictures!  Kendra and Kevin look like naturals on their horses!
It's amazing how the water just trickles on down the mountain.  One of my favorite things to do is find the head of a spring and drink the cool water.

The ranch is stunning!

Folks, if you are in the Yellowstone or Island Park, ID area you have GOT TO COME TAKE A RIDE with us!  We had several days of rain, rain, rain, (and a little snow), a couple of weeks back and it has made everything so green and alive! The spring flowers are out in full force, and the horseback riding couldn't be better. Many guests have taken advantage of the warm June sun to ride horses.  I'm going to share some pics that were shared with us on our Facebook page by Mr. Nigel Marchant.  He took several great candid pic throughout his horse ride, and if you look at the album he posted to our Facebook page you will get all his detailed descriptions of the pics as well.  Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/yellowstone.horseback.riding?ref=aymt_homepage_panel.  By the way, if you want to find coupons for horse rentals then visit our website http://www.yellowstoneworld.com.

This picture of riding the horses through the water is one of my favorites that Nigel took.   I love the color of the water in the creeks at the ranch.  The rich greenish-blue hue come from a dissolved mineral (sorry, I can't specify which one because I don't know) in the water that comes from the mountains.  I especially like how Jarom, the guide, is checking in on his young rider to make sure everything is going ok.  What a terrific shot; it really tells a story!
Can we say, "friendly"?
